Montreal Impact News Release

MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact and Radio-Canada Sports announced a new two-year deal Wednesday, making Radio-Canada the official broadcaster of the Montreal club for the 2010 and 2011 seasons.

A 10-match regular season schedule will be televised live on Radio-Canada and all Impact matches at Saputo Stadium will be presented and described on the web at Radio-Canada.ca/sports.

The soccer season on Radio-Canada kicks off with the presentation of Montreal's home opener at Saputo Stadium on Sunday, April 25 versus the Portland Timbers. Six other home games will be presented live, as well as three road games: Saturday, May 15 and Friday, September 24 in Vancouver, and August 7 in Carolina. In addition, playoff matches may also be broadcast live if the Impact qualifies.

Radio-Canada's broadcast team will return with Philippe Germain on play-by-play and Guillaume Dumas as color commentator. Marie-José Turcotte will once again host the program and will be joined by former Impact player Gabriel Gervais.

"We are very pleased to continue our partnership with Radio-Canada," declared Richard Legendre, Executive Vice President of the Impact and Saputo Stadium. "Soccer fans across the country will be able to watch the Impact defend its 2009 league championship. The 2010 season promises to be very exciting with 12 teams, notably three new clubs, competing in a very high-level restructured championship."

"The Impact epitomizes the vitality of soccer in the region, which mobilizes thousands of young players at every level," added François Messier, Radio-Canada Sports Director. "In this exciting World Cup year, of which Radio-Canada is the official broadcaster, we are again firmly committed to the Impact. Not only will we be producing 10 matches for television, but eight additional games will also be accessible from coast to coast on our Web site."

Radio-Canada has been the club's official television broadcaster since the 2007 season.
