Respress returning to Silverbacks for 2008

The Miami Valley Silverbacks started building their defense for the 2008 season with the re-signing of defensive back Chris Respress.
Respress, 5-foot-11, 180 pounds, had a breakout rookie season for the Silverbacks last season, earning Continental Indoor Football League Player of the Week honors following a monster game against Kalamazoo last year.
"Chris had a good rookie season last year and we look for him to have a better season this year," Silverback head coach Carl Allen said. "With a year under his belt and his work ethic Chris should have another good year."
The Silverbacks are entering their third season at Hobart Arena and capped 2007 with their first ever postseason appearance.
The organization held their first open try-out on Oct. 6 and will be announcing future try-out dates shortly.
