DENVER, CO (Friday, January 12, 2007)- The Colorado Rapids opened the 2007 Major League Soccer SuperDraft acquiring veteran left defender Greg Vanney and salary cap considerations from FC Dallas in exchange for the team's 2007 Second Round Draft Pick (18th Natural). The Rapids also sent the team's 2008 MLS SuperDraft natural second pick to Dallas in exchange for their 2008 natural third round draft pick.
