Lincoln Capitols News Release

Lincoln, NE - - The Capitols were a little short handed as they traveled to Everett, Washington this last week for a Friday night game against the Hawks. Although the Caps were going into battle missing a number of starters, Mike Carrawell was determined to do all he could to help the team compete. The diminutive WR immediately caught the attention of the Hawks, the leagues top ranked team, as he took the opening kickoff 50 yards for a Touchdown and an early 6-0 lead. While turnovers and struggles in the kicking game would leave the Capitols on the short end of the final score, Carrawell made his mark in only his second game as a Capitol, leading the team with 50 yards receiving and 154 return yards.

Carrawell played his college ball at Quincy University where he was Ranked #10 in the Nation in kick off Returns with over 2,500 all-purpose yards as the team won the Division II National Championship for the small school in Illinois.

Carrawell and the Capitols will be at full strength this week as they return home for a 7:00, Friday the 13th game against the Tri-Cities Fever from Kennewick, WA.

There is a Half Price Ticket Special for this week's game. Give the Capitols office a call at 402-477-8888 to take advantage of this offer and come down to the Pershing Center this Friday to cheer the Caps to victory. Get on the bandwagon now, because it's getting ready to roll.
