
76ers sign Louis Amundson for remainder of the season

Philadelphia, Pa. - March 28, 2007 - Philadelphia 76ers President Billy King announced today that the Sixers have signed forward Louis Amundson for the remainder of the season. Per team policy, terms of the contract are not disclosed.
The 15th Gatorade Call-Up from the D-League, Amundson signed two 10-day contracts with the Sixers (March 8 and March 18) and has made two appearances with the Sixers this season, logging a total of three rebounds in nine minutes.
Earlier this season, the 6-foot-8 forward became the ninth Gatorade Call-Up from the D-League when he signed a 10-day contract on Feb. 5 and a second 10-day contract on Feb. 19 with the Utah Jazz. Amundson appeared in one game with the Jazz, logging two minutes.
In a stint with the Colorado 14ers (D-League), the UNLV product averaged 11.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.48 blocks in 25.0 minutes in 25 games, while shooting 56.3 percent (117-208 FG).
