PORTLAND - The Portland Thunder, in conjunction with Alpha Media Portland, announced today that 750 THE GAME has entered into a partnership agreement to continue as the official radio station of the Portland Thunder. 750 will air live broadcasts of all games during the 2015 season.
The Thunder enter their second season in the AFL following an inaugural campaign that was characterized by significant achievements both on and off the field. The Thunder made the National Conference playoffs in their first season, and set a Portland AFL record for attendance (12,848) during their last home game in 2014. The Arena Football League represents the highest level of professional indoor football in the world. Featuring top young talent, the quality of play is world-class, and was evident in the Thunder's 2014 roster. Nine players from the Thunder's inaugural roster have received NFL or CFL contracts this year.
"We are enthusiastic to enhance and expand our partnership with Alpha Media Portland and 750 THE GAME," stated Thunder President Brian Sandy. "As we continue to grow as an organization, it is important for the Thunder to have consistency and reliability with all of our partners, and Alpha Media exemplifies exactly what a budding franchise requires from its broadcast partner."
Alpha Media Portland Senior VP/Market Manager, Milt McConnell commented on the announcement, "We are thrilled to partner again this year with the Portland Thunder. Terry Emmert, Brian Sandy and the entire Thunder franchise are great to work with. This entertaining brand extends Alpha's live and local focus, connecting our stations to the fans in a passionate and energetic manner."
