Ottawa ON - The Ottawa 67's today announced the acquisition of 18 year-old RW Sam Studnicka in a trade with the Windsor Spitfires. The Spitfires received Ottawa's 5th round pick in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection Draft in exchange for the 6'1", 193 pound winger.

"Sam is a hard-working forward who brings a physical element to the rink," said 67's GM and Head Coach Chris Byrne. "He skates well, has good size and we're happy to have him on our roster."

In his 2 previous seasons with Windsor, Studnicka played in 72 games, recording 13 points and 50 penalty minutes. He was drafted by the Spitfires in the 5th round of the 2011 Priority Selection Draft.
