48 USHL Players Named to NHL Central Scouting 2016 Final Ranking

NHL Central Scouting released their "Final Rankings" of players eligible for the 2016 NHL Draft, and among the North American list are 48 players that have competed in the USHL this season. In addition, 14 USHL alumni were named. Of the 48 current players listed, 44 are committed to play college hockey.

The Final Rankings include players from all leagues and levels across the North American and are a numerical ranking based on NHL Central Scouting evaluations.

Clayton Keller (9), Kieffer Bellows (10), Riley Tufte (17), Cam Morrison (46), Trent Frederic (47), Ryan Lindgren (49) and Adam Fox (50) round out the top-50 on the North American list. Team USA goaltender Joseph Woll (8) was the highest ranked goaltender in the USHL.

Cedar Rapids RoughRiders forward Ross Colton and Tri-City Storm forward Brandon Duhaime went from previously unranked to 89 and 92 respectively, while other notable players to jump in the rankings were Cam Morrison (46), Adam Fox (50) and Wade Allison (62).

2016 follows a record-setting 2015 NHL Draft that saw 37 players from the 2014-15 season selected by NHL teams. The 2016 NHL Draft will be held June 24-25 in Buffalo, NY at the First Niagara Center, home of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres.
