
40-Man Preliminary Rosters Released for 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup

HOUSTON - With the start of the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup just 26 days away, Concacaf revealed the 40-man preliminary rosters for each of the 16 competing nations earlier today.
Included in that announcement were the rosters for Honduras, El Salvador, Jamaica and Curacao - the four nations who will compete in the Group C doubleheader at BBVA Compass Stadium on Friday, June 21. El Salvador will face Jamaica at 6 p.m. CDT, followed by Honduras and Curacao at 8 p.m. Tickets for that doubleheader start at $30 and are available online at BBVACompassStadium.com, by phone at 888-929-7849 or at the stadium box office.
Four Houston Dynamo stars, as well as one member of Rio Grande Valley FC, the club's USL Championship hybrid affiliate. Honduras' roster is headlined by three players of the Dynamo roster in star forwards Alberth Elis and Romell Quioto along with defender Maynor Figueroa. Dynamo midfielder Darwin Cerén is in line to represent El Salvador, while RGV FC forward Maalique Foster was named to Jamaica's preliminary roster.
The final 23-man rosters will be announced by Concacaf in the first week of June.
