The Danbury Westerners in conjunction with The Danbury Sports Dome, Fairfield County Bank, and a group of dedicated volunteers are proud to once again offer the "7th Annual Chili Winter Warm-Up" at Danbury Sports Dome on Sunday, March 1 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. This year we are pleased to announce that our Hot Stuff Title sponsor is Fairfield County Bank.

The Chili Winter Warm-Up from 1:00-4:00pm provides fun for families where there will be a series of activities for young and old; including chili sampling, soccer; face painting, coloring, magician, live music from Dave King and the Mad Hatters. Cost is $5.00 a person or $15 a family.

All chili cooks are invited as the competition is open to nonprofit community organizations, fraternal organizations, restaurants/caterers, first responders and the general public. The entry fee for all divisions is $45 for a team of four and it includes a business card ad in the program. Nonprofit winners will be awarded cash prizes, 1st $600, 2nd $300 and 3rd, $150. The Restaurant/Caterer division, the First Responders Category and the Open category will receive plaques and bragging rights.

The Danbury Westerners are sanctioned by the NCAA and supported in part by Major League Baseball. The Club will celebrate its 21st year in the New England Collegiate Baseball League, a wooden bat summer league in 2015. Games begin in early June at Rogers Park in Danbury. The Westerners play a 42-game schedule in six New England states followed by playoffs in August.
