
3 CyberRays to enter U.S. camp in preparation for World Cup

SAN JOSE (Aug. 19, 2003) â Three CyberRays will enter U.S. Women's National Team training camp Thursday as final preparations begin for the FIFA Women's World Cup this fall.
Goalkeeper LaKeysia Beene and defenders Thori Bryan and Brandi Chastain are among 23 players called to the camp in San Diego. Rosters for the United States' World Cup tune-up games Sept. 1 against Costa Rica at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., and Sept. 7 against Mexico at Spartan Stadium in San Jose will be drawn from this training camp.
U.S. coach April Heinrichs has yet not announced the date she will name the 2003 U.S. World Cup team.
