24 Former CLers in Affiliated Ball
August 5, 2003 - Central Baseball League (Central League) News Release
DURHAM, N.C. - Twenty-four former Central Leaguers are currently playing in major league organizations.
Six are position players and 18 are pitchers. Mobile alumnus Mike Porzio started three games for the Chicago White Sox in July but was sent back to Triple-A on July 27. Porzio is one of five CBL alumni currently in Triple-A. Ten are in Double-A and nine are in Single-A.
Three Central Leaguers â Cipriano Garcia, Pat O'Sullivan and Rusty Camp â played in major league organizations this year but have subsequently been released.
Statistics are through August 4. Players with multiple teams are listed with the most recent first.
