Myrtle Beach Pelicans News Release
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans, Single-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, are pleased to announce their 2027 schedule. The 132-game schedule, developed by Major League Baseball, will run from April 2 to September 5. The home opener is scheduled for Friday, April 2 against the Hickory Crawdads (Texas Rangers). The Pelicans will host the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers (Chicago White Sox) beginning August 24 in the final homestand of the season. The Birds' regular season will conclude on the road against the Augusta GreenJackets (Atlanta Braves) starting on August 31 and finishing on September 5. 2027 will mark the 29th season for the Pelicans franchise and the 13th year as an affiliate of the Chicago Cubs.
The campaign features 23 series with 66 contests at Pelicans Ballpark and 66 on the road. Most series are comprised of six games that begin on Tuesday and conclude on Sunday; each Monday will continue to serve as a league-wide off-day. Two series will differ from this format: the season-opening series against Hickory and the home series following the All-Star Break against the Cannon Ballers will both be three-game sets. The All-Star Break is July 12-15 and coincides with the MLB All-Star Break.
The summer months continue to encompass the bulk of the Pelicans' home schedule with 39 of the 66 contests played in June (12), July (14), and August (13).
The Pelicans will continue their rivalries within the South Division of the Carolina League with the Charleston RiverDogs (Tampa Bay Rays), Columbia Fireflies (Kansas City Royals), and Augusta GreenJackets. Other opponents visiting Pelicans Ballpark include the Crawdads April 2-4 and July 27-August 1, the Fayetteville Woodpeckers (Houston Astros) April 13-18, and the Wilson Warbirds (Milwaukee Brewers) May 18-23.
Tickets for the 2027 season are on sale now including single game tickets and season memberships. Single game tickets start at just $10 and can be purchased.
