EDMONTON - The 2024 WNBA Canada Game will feature the Los Angeles Sparks and the Seattle Storm playing a preseason game on Saturday, May 4 at Rogers Place in Edmonton, AB. Fans in Canada can watch live on TSN at 7:30 p.m. MT. Ticket and event information is available at WNBACanadaGame.com .

2024 WNBA Canada Game:
0 - Kaela Davis, # 0 for the Storm, is the daughter of former Toronto Raptors player and NBA All-Star Antonio Davis, who played with the Raptors from 1999-2003 and 2006.
2 - This will be the second preseason WNBA game in Canada following last year's preseason game in Toronto between the Chicago Sky and the Minnesota Lynx, which set league records for broadcast viewership, attendance and merchandise sales in Canada.
3 - The Sparks' training camp roster features three rookies who were selected in the 2024 WNBA Draft, including No. 2 overall pick Cameron Brink (Stanford University), No. 4 overall pick Rickea Jackson (University of Tennessee) and No. 28 overall pick McKenzie Forbes (University of Southern California).
4 - The game will mark the fourth preseason WNBA game outside the United States, following previous games in Toronto, Canada (2023); Manchester, England (2011) and Monterrey, Mexico (2004).
8 - Inspired by both the northern lights (aurora borealis) which the Edmonton area is known for, and the star power of the WNBA & its players, the WNBA and Tangerine's light activation projecting the iconic WNBA logo debuted on the eight -story World Trade Centre Edmonton building.
9 - In celebration of the game, nine female entrepreneurs and small businesses have designed limited-edition WNBA-themed merchandise as part of WNBA Goods presented by Amex : Callia Flowers, Crave Cupcakes, Justine Ma, Makeway, Mallory Tolcher, Scents by Fay, Small Town Boys, Studio S and The Give & Grow.
14 - Fourteen marketing and retail partners will activate around the game: presenting partner Tangerine Bank as well as Ace Liquor, Air Canada, Amex, Bell, Canadian Tire Corporation, DoorDash, Explore Edmonton, Gatorade, Maybelline New York, Subway and Sun Life; retail partners include Peace Collective and Roots.
25 - The Storm will celebrate its 25 th Anniversary throughout the 2024 season.
84 - On May 3 and 4, 84 Wilson basketballs will be given away to fans for free at different locations in Edmonton as part of a WNBA Ball Drop in partnership with Tangerine. Fans can visit wnbacanadagame.com for times and locations.
195 - The game will reach fans in 195 countries and territories around the world on television, social media and digital media, including WNBA League Pass.
200 - More than 200 local youth and adult basketball players will participate in basketball clinics in conjunction with the game.
939 - Two-time WNBA champion and Storm guard Jewell Lloyd set a new WNBA single-season scoring record last year with 939 points.
62,000 - Tangerine and the league's projection mapping activation, emits 62,000 lumens of light output onto three buildings in downtown Edmonton.

5 - The Canadian Women's National Team is ranked 5 th in the world (FIBA World Ranking presented by Nike, Feb. 2023)
6 - The Washington Mystics selected Kingston, ON's Aaliyah Edwards sixth overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft.
28 - The WNBA, the longest-running women's professional league in the world, will celebrate its 28 th season in 2024.
30 - In 2023, the WNBA's Instagram account (@WNBA) saw a 30% year-over-year increase in followers from Canada.
32 - Average viewership of the 2023 WNBA season in Canada increased by 32% year-over-year.
111 - A record number of fans in Canada watched the 2024 WNBA Draft on TSN, surpassing the previous record set in 2022 by 111%.
24 - Storm head coach Noelle Quinn also serves as lead assistant coach for the Canada Women's National Team. The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris will mark the first time in 24 years that both the Canadian Men's and Women's National Teams will participate in the same Olympics.
