St. John's Edge News Release


St. John's, NL - The St. John's Edge have finalized their roster for the upcoming 2019-2020 season. The roster includes a mix of returning players, NBLC veterans, veterans from other leagues and rookies coming from NCAA Division I programs.

Highlighting the roster this season is the return of Murphy Burnatowski and Junior Cadougan. Cadougan, the league's reigning Most Improved Player, and Burnatowski were both key pieces to the Edge's run to the NBLC Finals last season.

Among the 9 newcomers to this year's team include 5-year NBLC veteran, Tyrone Watson. 5-year pro out of the NBA G-League Karrington Ward along with local product, Noel Moffatt.

Head Coach Steve Marcus on this year's roster; ?We are ecstatic with the final 11 that have made our roster. I believe we have one of the most athletic and versatile rosters in the league. Each one of these men fit everything we are trying to build culturally this season in St. John's. This is truly a team that the city of St. John's and all of Newfoundland and Labrador can get behind.?

The team opens the season on December 27th on the road to take on the Moncton Magic which kicks off a 10 day, six-game road trip.

The Edge then come home to play a string of six straight home games which includes the home opener on Tuesday, January 7th vs the KW Titans.
