Published on October 30, 2015 under West Coast League (WCL)
Bend Elks News Release
The Bend Elks Baseball Club are proud to announce our 2016 schedule has been released. This is one of the earliest releases of schedule yet!
The WCL has re-aligned to a two-division structure, with a north and a south division. This realignment will help accentuate long-time rivalries, while allowing players and fans to have greater exposure to the markets and teams that comprise the WCL. The South Division will include Yakima Valley, Bend, Corvallis, Cowlitz, Kitsap, and the new Gresham franchise. The North Division will feature Kelowna, Victoria, Bellingham, Wenatchee, and Walla Walla. Additionally, the board of directors has decided to move to a split-season format to determine playoff participants.
The 2016 season home opener will be on June 3rd with the Bend Elks vs. the Corvallis Knights. The Elks are proud to be hosting games against the Kitsap Bluejackets on the Forth of July. It should be a great season as the Bend Elks defend their 2015 West Coast League Championship title!
