2013 Season Schedule and Updates Released

The Lakeland Raiders are proud to announce the 2013 Schedule. The team has been hard at work getting prepared for the 2013 season. With many new faces supporting the Raiders, it's going to be a very special 2013 season.
"I am excited to know when and where we are playing just like everyone else. I like the way our schedule plays out. We will have to battle it out in the beginning with our road trips but we have a nice home stand towards the end that will help us prepare for the playoffs" commented Coach Mink.
With the league adding some new teams, it looks to be a very competitive season. The Georgia Rampage have relocated and have a home arena in Dalton, Georgia and that is where the Raiders will open up the 2013 season. The Raiders are looking forward to playing new teams such as the Sarasota Thunder, Miami Sting, Missouri Monsters, and the Corpus Christi Fury.
The end of March is a very important two-week span for the Raiders as they travel to the Tarpons and the following week, host them. The Raiders are looking to have different results this season against the Tarpons and are anxious to get back on the field against them.
The Raiders will also play one out of league game on April 28th [Sunday], which will have a 3pm kick off. The team will be announcing shortly who the opponent will be for that game.
The Raiders will finish the regular season on May 18th and will have two bye weeks in preparations for the playoffs. The playoff format for the 2013 season is as follows; three teams will make the playoffs in which the number 2 and 3 teams will play a semi final game and the winner will travel to the number one team in the league for the UIFL Championship.
The Raiders intend on having the UIFL Championship in Lakeland for Central Florida to enjoy.
All Raider Home games will start at 7:30pm
The Sunday April 28th game will be @ 3pm
