2010 San Antonio Silver Stars Training Camp Roster Set

SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Silver Stars 2010 Training Camp roster is set, featuring five Stars veterans in guards Helen Darling, Becky Hammon and Edwige Lawson-Wade; forward Megan Frazee; and center Ruth Riley. The full roster is listed below.

Veteran Silver Stars forward Sophia Young currently is playing for Galatasaray (Turkey) but is expected to return to San Antonio following the conclusion of her team's playoffs run.

The Silver Stars added three players with their picks in the 2010 WNBA Draft: center Jayne Appel from Stanford in the first round (5th overall); forward Alysha Clark from Middle Tennessee State in the second round (17th overall); and Alexis Rack from Mississippi State in the third round (29th overall). Appel, who suffered a stress fracture in her right foot during the NCAA Final Four, will rehab her injury and join the team at a later date.

During the offseason, San Antonio acquired guard Roneeka Hodges, forward Crystal Kelly and center Michelle Snow all of whom are still playing for their respective teams overseas and will join the Silver Stars following the conclusion of their commitments to those organizations. Guard Quianna Chaney and center Tasha Humphrey were acquired during the 2009-10 offseason, as well.

To complete their Training Camp roster, the Silver Stars signed guards Charel Allen, Dee Davis and Brittany Jackson; forward/center Diana Delva; and forwards Lacey Simpson and Krystal Vaughn.
