2010-2011 Seattle Mountaineers ABA Season Preview

Head Coach: Don Sims, 111-47 in five seasons

The 21st ranked Mountaineers open a very challenging 22 game schedule on Dec 3rd with a road trip to the Midwest playing #12 ranked Lake Michigan Admirals. This seasons schedule will see the Mountaineers play 14 games against teams ranked in the ABA top 24, in addition the Mountaineers will travel to Indiana, Michigan, Las Vegas, California and Canada.

Returnees:

Heading the list of returnees is ABA All Star and 2009 NBDL 7th round draft choice, Rashaad Powell, 6-6, swingman. Rashaad's ability to score and create makes him a legitimate ABA Player of the Year candidate; Brian Johnson, 5-11, Tyler Amaya, 6-6, Marcus Bradford, 6-3 and Jacob Manning, 6-8 all have valuable playing experience.

Arrivals:

Top newcomers are Lemar Gayle, 6-6, former D-league draft choice and ABA All Star, Jeff Sullivan, 6-8, Reggie Guyton, 5-11, Craig McGee, 6-8 and Billy McNutt, 6-8 (Canadian College-Player of the Year)

"We have a nice mix of experience and youth, our season will be determined by how well we play together", stated Coach Sims.

Home Opener: Saturday, December 11 versus the Chico Rage, 7:00pm, Green River Community College
