2006 Sierra Mist Goal of the Year Voting Begins

NEW YORK (Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006) - Voting for the 2006 Sierra Mist Goal of the Year kicked off today on the league's Web site - MLSnet.com. Fans have the chance to vote for the most remarkable goal of the 2006 regular season, choosing from all 28 winners of the Sierra Mist Goal of the Week and six additional nominees.
The voting breakdown follows:
1. Oct. 18 - Oct. 24 - Voting to select top 10 goals from original 34 nominees
2. Oct. 25 - Oct. 31 - Voting to select top five goals
3. Nov. 1 - Nov. 8 - Voting to select the 2006 Sierra Mist Goal of the Year from the top five goals
The Sierra Mist Goal of the Year will be announced on Nov. 10, 2006.
