2006 MISL College Draft Scheduled for Wednesday, March 8

WESTPORT, Conn. (Tuesday, February 28, 2006) - The Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) announced today that the 2006 MISL College Draft will be held via teleconference on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. EST. The Draft will consist of one (1) Territorial Round and four (4) Numerical Rounds. The order of selection, based on each team's win percentage from their last completed regular season, is as follows:

The College Draft has had a history of assisting MISL teams in filling their rosters with bona fide indoor soccer talent, as well as providing opportunities for players to showcase their soccer skills, including such recent soccer talents as Baltimore's Giuliano Celenza, California's Ryan Hall, Chicago's Anthony Maher, Milwaukee's Chad Dombrowski, Philadelphia's Pat Morris and St. Louis' Joe Reineger.

About The MISL

The Major Indoor Soccer League is a single-entity organization with a coast-to-coast presence comprised of six teams located across the United States, and features the finest indoor soccer players representing 31 countries around the world. In February of 2004, the League announced an expansion team in Stockton, CA, that began play in 2005-06 as the California Cougars. In May of 2004, the League announced plans for an expansion team in Newark, NJ, that will begin play in 2007-08. In April of 2005, the League also approved an MISL expansion team for Detroit beginning play in 2006-07. The 2005-06 MISL regular season will run for 22 weeks, beginning on November 6 and concluding on April 9. The 2006 MISL All-Star Game was played before a capacity crowd on February 11, 2006 at the U.S. Cellular Arena in Milwaukee.
