19 Former AFLers to be in NFL Camps

CHICAGO (July 15, 2002) â As NFL teams open training camps this weekend, 19 former Arena Football League players will join them, including a pair of past and present Super Bowl champions -- St. Louis Rams QB KURT WARNER and New England Patriots WR DAVID PATTEN.
The Arena Football League is currently in its 16th season, with one week remaining in the 2002 regular season. The AFL's championship game, ArenaBowl XVI, will take place on Sunday, August 18.
Of the AFL's more than 500 players, 92 have NFL experience, including Los Angeles QB TONY GRAZIANI, New York QB DANNY KANELL, and Georgia DS RON CARPENTER.
