15 Impact Games To Be Broadcast On The Team 990

MONTREAL - This season, soccer fans will be able to follow the Montreal Impact's activities on English radio, as the Impact and THE TEAM 990 have reached a two-year agreement, making THE TEAM 990 the official English broadcaster of the Montreal Impact for the 2008 and 2009 seasons.
The Impact's 15 regular-season home games, as well as all playoff matches, will be broadcast live on THE TEAM 990. Each show will be preceded and followed by pre-game and post-game shows.
THE TEAM 990 will notably broadcast the historic home opener at Saputo Stadium, on Monday, May 19, at 3:00 pm, when the Vancouver Whitecaps will be the visitors.
"We are very pleased with this agreement with THE TEAM 990," said Executive Vice President of the Montreal Impact and the Saputo Stadium Richard Legendre. "We will live a historical year with the opening of the Saputo Stadium. We want to keep giving fans the chance to follow their team on English radio. We are happy to offer them a space to talk about soccer year-round."

"With Noel Butler as the driving force behind THE TEAM 990's commitment to cover this wonderful sport, we are thrilled to partner with The Montreal Impact in bringing the city's professional soccer team to Montreal radio".
The voice of the Impact on THE TEAM 990 will be Brian Wilde, who is also a sports reporter with CTV Montreal and has covered the Impact extensively over the years. He will be assisted by former Impact player and Team Builder Grant Needham, as well as THE TEAM 990's Noel Butler, who will also be the host of a weekly, one-hour soccer show, which will begin to air in May.
