New Britain-CT The names of Twins players battling the Yankees in the ALDS best of five set are very common to Rock Cats fans in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. 14 former Rock Cats make up the Twins' first round playoff roster, including Game One starter LHP Brian Duensing, who went 5-3 with a 3.15 ERA in 19 games and 18 career starts at New Britain in 2006-2007. RHP Jeff Manship, the Rock Cats opening day starter in 2009 who pitched the Twins' to a win over Kansas City on Saturday, was left off the roster. 1B Justin Morneau is on the disabled list and has not been available since

The Minnesota Twins won their 5th American League Central Division Championship in the past eight seasons and finished 17-4 over their last 21 games, while becoming the first team to overcome a 3 game deficit with 4 games remaining. Catcher, Joe Mauer, won his third AL Batting Title (.365) and became the first player to win back-to-back batting titles since 1999-2000 (Nomar Garciaparra).
