New Orleans VooDoo News Release

NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans VooDoo continue to build its roster with the addition of rookie fullback Kadeem Jones, announced the VooDoo front office Monday evening.

Jones (5-11, 255, Western Kentucky) enters his rookie season with the VooDoo. The four-year letterman closed out his career with the Hilltoppers notching 52 carries for 194 yards and 10 touchdowns, while also recording 30 receptions for 333 yards and 5 scores. Arguably, his best season with the Hilltoppers was during his junior campaign where he played in all 12, games rushing for 84 yards, coupled with 180 yards receiving. He also had six total touchdowns his junior campaign. Jones' junior season helped guide the Hilltoppers to their first-ever bowl game in 2012 as a member of the FBS.

Jones most recently spent time in training camp with the St. Louis Rams of the National Football League.

"Kadeem is an unique player who should transition well into the Arena League," said VooDoo Head Coach Cokinos. "He is a big man who is a solid blocker, but he also runs well and can catch the ball as a receiver. He is fresh out of an NFL training camp, and this is a good opportunity for him."
