Canton Legends News Release
February 14, 2005 -- The Canton Legends of the Atlantic Indoor Football League have named Dr. Scott G. Haack as their team chiropractor.
Dr. Haack is a graduate of Jackson High School, Malone College and Logan College of Chiropractic.
In addition to his Doctorate in Chiropractic, Dr. Haack also possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. Haack has developed three professional patents as well. The patents vary from devices in the medical field to consumer/retail products.
During his seven years in practice, Dr. Haack has treated many athletes. These include professional wrestlers, soccer and baseball players, intercollegiate wrestlers, golfers on the Nike professional golf tour and various athletes competing in high school athletics.
Dr. Haack utilizes a procedure called Active Release Technique (ART), which involves soft-tissue treatment for neuromusculoskeletal injuries. The procedure is an important component in returning the injured athlete back to the level of competition they are accustomed to. Strengthening and stretching techniques are very important to Dr. Haack's treatment plan in helping the athlete to overcome injury and maintain balance so injuries don't become repetitive. Dr. Haack incorporates these principals along with flexion/distraction technique and standard spinal adjusting in his practice.
"To have someone of Dr. Haack's reputation and background involved with one of our franchise's medical staff is very important to our league," AIFL President Andrew Haines said. "We want our players in the AIFL to have access to the best medical people and the most advanced injury treatment possible."
Dr. Scott Haack is in private practice in Lake Cable (Jackson Township) with Dr. Wendi Preston and Dr. Brian O'Neill. Their office is located at 5876 Fulton Drive Northwest in Shakertown Square. Dr. Haack can be reached by phone at (330) 966-0030 or e-mail at DrSHaack@aol.com.
The Atlantic Indoor Football League is the hottest new professional football league and will kickoff its inaugural season April 16, 2005.
