Valkyries' Free Throws for Futures, Presented by the PG&E Corporation Foundation, Donates $349,500 to Bay Area Youth
October 29, 2025 - OAKLAND, Calif. - The Golden State Community Foundation, in partnership with the PG&E Corporation Foundation, has granted $349,500 to two nonprofit organizations, equating to $174,750 each, as part of the Valkyries' Free Throws For Futures program.
Through Free Throws For Futures, each of the Golden State Valkyries' 659 free throws during their inaugural 2025 regular season resulted in $500 towards Girls Inc. of Alameda County and Kode With Klossy. October 8, 2025 - OAKLAND, Calif. - Golden State Valkyries guard Veronica Burton has been named to the 2025 WNBA All-Defensive Second Team, the league announced today. The WNBA All-Defensive teams were voted on by a national panel of sportswriters and broadcasters.
Burton started all 44 regular-season games for Golden State, helping the Valkyries lead the league in opponent points per game (76.3) and in opponent shooting percentage (40.5) while ranking third in defensive rating (99.8). September 29, 2025 - OAKLAND, Calif. - Golden State Valkyries forward Janelle Salaün was named to the WNBA All-Rookie Team, the league announced today.
Joining Salaün on the WNBA All-Rookie Team are Dallas' Paige Bueckers, Washington's Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen, and Seattle's Dominique Malonga.
