DALLAS, Texas â The Dallas Sidekicks signed defender Michael Curtis, forward Juan Sastoque, and midfielder Ben Waldrum. All three players were signed from the practice squad.
This is Curtis' 4th season with the Sidekicks. He has played 15 games in his first three years including six last season. Curtis, 27, is a native of Dallas and played collegiate soccer for Dallas Baptist University. Sastoque, 25, is his second season with the Sidekicks. He scored three goals in two games during the 2000 season. Waldrum, 21, is a rookie from West Texas A&M. He did play for the El Paso A-League team during the 2002 season.
The Sidekicks (1-0) play at San Diego Saturday October 5 at 9:05 p.m. CT. The game is on Fox Sports 1190 AM.
