Yard Dawgz & Jersey Mike's Give Christmas Early

OKLAHOMA CITY- The Yard Dawgz have partnered with the American Red Cross of Central Oklahoma and 10 metro area Jersey Mike's to aid in the collection of stocking stuffers for the American Red Cross Christmas Stocking Program.

Starting Monday, July 26, 2010, all local Jersey Mike's locations will be collection points for the campaign. For store locations please visit www.jerseymikes.com. Each store will collect both monetary and item donations from the following list.

The following items have been requested to help fill more than 3000 stockings in the month of December:

. Pencil Erasers

. Small Notepads

. Bubbles

. Play Dough

. Crayons

. Coloring Books

. Small Puzzles

. Playing Cards

. Activity Books

"We are extremely excited to join forces with one of our great partners, Jersey Mike's Subs, and help the American Red Cross fill Stocking Program. Even though Christmas is six months away, we want to kick start donations for this worthy cause," said Yard Dawgz General Manager Christie Cook.

Items brought to Jersey Mike's Subs will be distributed to families through area agencies serving underprivileged children during the holiday season. "Many of these kids would not have a Christmas stocking without this program so we are grateful for every item brought to Jersey Mike's," said Red Cross spokesperson Kyla Campbell. "Every item counts when it comes to a child's Christmas."

On Wednesday, July 28, 2010, Yard Dawgz players and dance team members will be at the 6815 SW 3rd St. OKC, OK 73128 Jersey Mike's location from 11-1:30 p.m.

The Yard Dawgz will host the Tulsa Talons on July 30 at the Cox Convention Center. Single game tickets are on sale, starting at only $10! The Yard Dawgz Block Party will begin at 5 p.m. on Reno and kickoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
