
The Bighorns Select Four Players in the 2016 NBA D-League Draft

RENO, NV ---- The Reno Bighorns acquired four players in the NBA Development League Draft on Sunday afternoon. Reno drafted four players and completed a trade with the D-Fenders for the Jamal Branch and Anthony January.
With the Bighorns first pick (28th overall) in the 2016 NBA Development League Draft, the Bighorns selected Will Davis II, a 6'8" forward who played collegiately at UC-Irvine where he averaged 12.9 points (.548 FG%, .707 FT%) 7.0 rebounds 1.0 blocks and 29.8 minutes per game in 34 contests (33 starts) his senior year. After going undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft, Davis joined the Kolossos Rodou in Greece where he averaged 7.0 points per game in 28 games.
With the 21st pick of the third round the Bighorns selected Tyron Criswell from the University of Nevada. During Criswell's time with Nevada he averaged 13.1 points (.510 FG%, .717 FT%), 6.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 30.3 miuntes per game in 38 games.
Montigo Alford was selected by the Bighorns in the 16th pick fourth round. The Boise State alum averaged 4.07 points (.381 FG%, .722 FT%) and 1.0 rebounds in 29 games with the Broncos.
Following the draft, the Bighorns completed a trade with the LA D-Fenders to acquire the D-Fenders original 74th overall draft pick, Anthony January as well as guard Jamal branch. The Bighorns exchanged their 52nd overall pick, Kourtlin Jackson, and the returning player rights to Bighorns former forward, David Wear. The trade is pending the successful completion of physicals.
Branch was selected by the D-Fenders in round 3 with pick 3 in the 2015 D-League Draft. During his time with LA, he averaged 1.1 points (.300 FG%, .333 3P%) in ten games.
January played colligently at Cal State San Bernardino averaging 10.6 points (.387 FG%, .312 3P%, .721 FT%), 5.4 rebounds per game.
The Bighorns makes their 2016-17 home debut versus the Oklahoma City Blue on Saturday, Nov. 19 at the Reno Events Center.
