Surge Lose on the Road to Impact, 6-5

KENT, Wash. - Sacramento Surge fall to Seattle Impact, 6-5 at ShoWare Center on Sunday night. The Impact continue to move closer to the top of the Pacific Divsion and are now tied with the Turlock Express for second place.

Sacramento capitalized first, but soon the lead fell short with a pair of goals from Seattle forward Gordy Gurson and a solo shot from midfielder Corey Maret- the Impact finished off the first quarter up 5-3.

The second quarter remained low-scoring with each team racking up one goal each- Sacramento's Willy Cardenas and Seattle's David Schipper contributed to the half time score of 6-4.

The third quarter remained scoreless, while in the final quarter, Sacramento scored the final goal of the game on a power play in the final minute, but ultimately falling short to the Impact.

Sacramento is now 0-5 and is currently last in the Pacific Division while looking to pick up their first win of the season. The return home to take on the Las Vegas Legends on Saturday, December 13 at 7:05 p.m. at McClellan Park
