Submarine Hunley To Be At Rhinos Game

GREENVILLE, SC – The League office of arenafootball2 and the Carolina Rhinos have announced the Civil War era submarine the Hunley will be at this Friday’s game with the Roanoke Steam. The Hunley will be on display between the BI-LO Center box office and the Plaza starting at 6 p.m. The display is open to the public free of charge.

The Hunley became the first submarine to sink an enemy ship in combat when it downed the USS Housatonic on February 17, 1864 just outside of Charleston, South Carolina.

Friday will also be “Scout Night” and there will be a post-game concert featuring the group Avalon. Rhinos tickets are on sale at the BI-LO Center box office, by calling 864-233-2525 or 864-576-1550 and by logging on to ticketmaster.com. Group discounted tickets and special packages for scouts are also available by calling the Rhinos directly at 864-467-4777.
