RICHMOND, VA (June 4, 2015) - The Richmond Raiders (6-4) return home to the Richmond Coliseum this Saturday as the face off against the defending PIFL Champion Nashville Venom (5-3). Last time the two teams met, Nashville defeated Richmond 69-49 in Nashville. Since that loss, the Raiders have gone on to win four straight games and put themselves in third place in PIFL standings.

The Raiders are coming off of a big 35-28 win over Lehigh Valley last week in Allentown. This game was uncharacteristically low-scoring for Richmond's top-ranked offense. It would be the defense that shone in this outing, as they held the Steelhawks to scoreless in the second quarter and only allowed two touchdowns in the entire second half. During the game, QB Jonathan Bane completed 24 of 40 passes for 276 yards and four touchdowns. Bane hit WR Ron Davis three times and found WR Robert Holland once to round out the scoring. Davis recorded five catches for 83 yards, with an impressive 40-yard catch for a touchdown to open the game. Holland hauled in eight catches for 107 yards. Richmond's high-powered offense will look to carry their momentum into Saturday's matchup against a Nashville defense that gave them trouble in their earlier meeting.

Nashville rolls into Richmond after defeating the Marion Blue Racers of the X-League 65-38 last week. After a slow start in the first half, the Venom went on to score 22 unanswered points in the second half, propelling them to a victory. The Venom currently sit in fourth place in PIFL standings, just behind the third place Raiders, meaning Saturday's game is sure to be a thriller.

The Raiders have just one home game remaining after this one on June 20 against the Erie Explosion. In line with Father's Day, the theme is "Three Cheers for Dad's Day", with activities celebrating fathers planned. Tickets for the remaining home game start as low as $7 and are available on the Raiders' website, www.RichmondRaidersProFootball.com, or by calling 1-855-GO-RAIDERS or 804-780-0430. Additionally, fans can contact the Richmond Coliseum box office or visit ticketmaster.com.
