La Crosse Night Train News Release
Despite a 2-1 start to the 2003 season, the La Crosse Night Train of the National Indoor Football League has decided to make a number of roster changes. La Crosse has added the services of Saxton Torrence (6'4, 360 lbs.) to both the offensive and defensive line. Torrence, a graduate of Mississippi Valley State, saw time with the Grand Rapids Rampage (AFL) in 2002.
The Night Train also released three players from their current roster. Darrick Bolton (DT), Ken Smith (CB), and Tony Poole (CB) were among those let go. Ben Antony (WR) and Vernard Alsberry (DB) were activated onto the 25-man retaining roster.
La Crosse (1-1, 2-1) will travel to Sioux City, Iowa, to take on the Sioux City Bandits (1-1, 2-1) on Saturday, April 12. La Crosse dropped Sioux City 46-21 earlier this season. Kickoff is set for 7:05 p.m. at the Sioux City Auditorium.
