Lafayette La... Week 4 Players of the Week have been selected. From the Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Week goes to Ohio Valley Greyhound's Quarterback Shane Franzel. Franzel passed for 163 yards with 5 touchdowns. Defensive Player of the Week is cornerback, Anthony Porter from the Lake Charles Landsharks with 13.5 tackles (3 for losses) on the night. Special Teams Player of the Week honors goes to Kendall Shello of the Landsharks, who not only applied constant pressure on defense but also blocked a field goal attempt in the win against the Austin Rockers.
For the third week in a row, the Pacific Conference Offensive Player of the Week is from the Tri-City Diesel. Greg Lathan had 6 catches for 86 yards and 2 touchdowns. Defensive Player of the Week is Jesse Wavrunek of the Sioux City Bandits. Wayrunek had 15 tackles (2 for a loss) and 1 sack in their game against Tri-City. The LaCrosse Night Train capture Special Teams Player of the Week honors for Brett Gorden, kicker, with 4 field goals and 5 PAT for a total of 17 points on the night.
