Night Train Duo Named Players of the Week

The National Indoor Football League announced Pacific Conference Player of the Week honors for Week 1 and Week 2 of the 2003 season today. A pair of Night Train players garnered offensive and defensive honors for Week 1.

Chris Floyd (RB) was named Offensive Player of the Week after his four touchdown performance against the Sioux City Bandits on March 14. Floyd carried the ball 20 times for 59 yards and caught three passes for an additional 37 yards.

Defensively, Derric Coakley was tabbed Defensive Player of the Week for his seven tackle performance against Sioux City. Two of Coakley's seven tackles were for loss including a quarterback sack for a safety.

Anthony Simmons of the Wyoming Cavalry earned Special Team Player of the Week honors.

After a bye in Week 2, the Night Train (1-0) will take on the Tri-City Diesel (1-0) tomorrow night at 7:35 p.m. in Kearney, Nebraska.
