Los Angeles Lakers Recall Zubac from D-Fenders

EL SEGUNDO - The Los Angeles Lakers have recalled center Ivica Zubac from the D-Fenders, it was announced today.

In Friday's game against the Reno Bighorns, Zubac totaled 18 points, 11 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 31 minutes. Overall, the rookie has averaged 15.8 points, 9.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 block per game while connecting on 58.4 percent of his field goals in the D-League.

About the Los Angeles D-Fenders: The NBA Development League's Los Angeles D-Fenders return for the team's 10th season of competition in 2016-17. The first franchise in D-League history to be owned by an NBA team, the D-Fenders franchise has established itself as a top producer of NBA-ready talent, totaling 25 NBA Call-Ups and developing 19 Lakers assignment players since the inaugural 2006-07 season. The D-Fenders have claimed two division titles and have twice participated in the NBA D-League Finals. The franchise will become the South Bay Lakers prior to the 2017-18 season.
