
Los Angeles' Josh Magette Named NBA Development League Performer of the Week

NEW YORK- Josh Magette of the Los Angeles D-Fenders today was named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Monday, Feb. 6, through Sunday, Feb 12.
Magette (6-1, Alabama-Huntsville) led Los Angeles to a 3-1 week, averaging 24.0 points, 8.3 assists and 6.8 rebounds. On Feb. 6, he notched a double-double with 24 points and 11 assists to go with six rebounds and three steals in a 138-129 victory over the Salt Lake City Stars. On Feb. 11, Magette scored a career-best 31 points -- matching career highs with 10 made field goals and six three-pointers -- and added 11 assists and four rebounds in a 134-128 loss to the Oklahoma City Blue. He capped off the week scoring 26 points on 9-of-18 shooting to go with a career-high 11 rebounds and seven assists in a 121-118 win over the Austin Spurs on Feb. 12.
Magette is averaging 16.1 points, a league-leading 9.4 assists and 3.9 rebounds on the season. Magette has been selected to play in the 2017 NBA D-League All-Star Game presented by Kumho Tire. He will represent the West team in his first All-Star appearance.
Other top performers considered included Canton's Quinn Cook, Delaware's Shawn Long, Northern Arizona's Elijah Millsap, Oklahoma City's Reggie Williams, Raptors 905's Brady Heslip, Rio Grande Valley's Darius Morris, Sioux Falls' Keith Benson, Texas' Manny Harris and Jameel Warney, Westchester's John Jenkins and Windy City's Jarell Eddie.
