In 2015, Wolves' quarterback 'Dak' Britt took the IFL by storm- throwing touchdown passes at a remarkable rate while leading his team to four wins in their final five games. Many felt that he deserved IFL Rookie of the Year recognition. In 2016, Britt will return to lead the Wolves at the quarterback position. With a year of experience under his belt, there is a lot of hope and excitement surrounding the team's potential. A look inside the numbers justifies the enthusiasm.

In 2015, Britt produced a mind-boggling 33 touchdown passes (4th in the IFL) in only 237 passing attempts. His rate of production left him ranked 3rd in the IFL in touchdown pass percentage amongst quarterbacks with at least 100 passing attempts.

To put Britt's third place ranking into perspective, Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck were tied for third place in the NFL last season in touchdown pass percentage (via Pro Football Reference). If you're looking for Britt's NFL counterparts in this area- Manning and Luck are pretty elite company. Tom Brady (5th), Philip Rivers (6th), Ben Roethlisberger (8th), Drew Brees (9th) and Russell Wilson (17th) all ranked lower in the NFL than Britt did in the IFL.

Not only was Britt excellent at producing touchdown passes, but he was careful, calculative and efficient when it came to protecting the football. In 2015, 29 different players threw a touchdown pass, but Britt was one of only three players to produce 30 or more touchdown passes and fewer than ten interceptions.

Despite only starting five games, Britt finished the season ranked 5th in pass completions (135) and 6th in passing yardage (1,465). He didn't just dominate through the air, he was also a dominant force on the ground- producing a total of 41 touchdowns (33 passing, 8 rushing).

While expectations are high for the 2016 season, Britt is familiar with the pressure and expectations of being the starting quarterback in Billings. When he took over as the team's starter in 2015, the Wolves sported a 1-8 record. After being named the team's starting quarterback, the Wolves won four of their final five games, going 3-0 in their final three home games- including a 60-50 thriller in the team's season finale vs. the 10-3 Danger.

Britt completed 73.1% of his passes for 268 yards, 4 touchdowns and 0 interceptions- recording a 145.5 passer rating against a team that would go on to complete in the United Bowl Championship. If that's the level Britt could play against a championship-caliber team in his rookie season, it's easy to understand why people are raving about his potential for 2016.

Stay tuned.
