Toronto - The Toronto Rock, the Toronto Stars Minor Lacrosse Association and the City of Toronto have partnered to offer 5 free introductory lacrosse clinics on Friday December 7th. These clinics will be held at Stephen Leacock Community Recreation Centre. and will be directed by Toronto Rock forward Garrett Billings. The participants will be lead through a series of drills that will give a brief overview of the game of lacrosse.

Registration is limited to 40 children per age group and each child must register prior to attending the facility. Equipment will be provided.

The Toronto Rock start their 8 game home schedule on January 19th at Air Canada Centre. As part of a new initiative this season, the Rock will offer season ticket holders a rebate to first time lacrosse registrants of up to $74 per seat purchased towards their minor lacrosse registration. The program is aimed at having youth pick up a stick and start playing minor lacrosse for a fraction of the regular cost as a benefit of being a Rock Season Ticket Holder.
