The Canton Charge, powered by the NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers, have acquired returning player F Jonathan Holmes, General Manager Mike Gansey announced today. The Charge roster is at 12 players, with 10 active and two inactive players.
Holmes (6-9, 240, University of Texas) returns to the Charge as an affiliate player after appearing in six preseason games for the Cleveland Cavaliers. In six contests (one start), Holmes averaged 9.6 points and 3.3 rebounds in 17.4 minutes per game.
Allocated to the Charge on November 1 via the affiliate player rule, Holmes received a buyout to join FC Barcelona on November 4. Holmes appeared in 10 games for FC Barcelona, averaging 7.7 points and 3.7 rebounds in 18.1 minutes per contest.
Holmes appeared in 127 games (107 starts) for the Texas Longhorns in his four year career, averaging 9.2 points and 5.9 rebounds in 23.1 minutes per contest. He will be active for tonight's game in Santa Cruz.
