Jersey Flight News Release

TRENTON - The Jersey Flight have announced today the re-signing of FB/DL Jeremiah Zene Jr. Zene returns to the NAL after spending time with the Monterrey Steel, Carolina Cobras and Orlando Predators. He has played in an NAL game for each of the league's first three seasons. Zene is 6'7/345 and has the ability to play both sides of the ball.

"Jeremiah is big, strong, agile, and plays with an aggressive passion to disrupt. Whether playing fullback or defensive line, expect an impact." Jersey Flight head coach Terrence Foster added, "Zene is a NAL vet, his knowledge in the locker room and leadership on the field is an added bonus."

Zene joins the Flight after most recently playing for the Orlando Predators in 2019. Zene played in two games with the Predators, recording a tackle, before he made the decision to leave the Predators organization. He was also a member of the Carolina Cobras in 2018. During his time in Orlando, Zene played with Armonti Carey and Edward "Sauce" Victorian.

"This is going to be a fun one, a lot of people are sleeping on us but this is going to be a fun season. The camaraderie that Armonti, Sauce and I built in Orlando was deep from the start. We stayed on each other and never slacked off. We were in a bad predicament but as far as the camaraderie it's going to be beautiful," Zene said.

Zene played for the Monterrey Steel in the NAL's inaugural season, appearing in nine games. Zene attempted three rushes for five yards, while contributing five tackles on defense, two for a loss, and one sack.

"The indoor game has made me a more versatile football player in general. My first year playing arena football I weighed roughly 420 lbs, now I'm down to 350/345. I had to block smaller and faster guys with a high motor, it definitely helped me out a lot," Zene said.
