
Georgia Force Fall to New Orleans VooDoo 57-35

Duluth, GA (June 2, 2012) - The Georgia Force fell to the New Orleans VooDoo with a final game score of 57-35 in the Arena Football League's Week 13 contest held at The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Georgia. The game was played in front of 3,372 arena football fans.
The VooDoo came on strong, with their first touchdown from QB Kurt Rocco to WR Quorey Payne occurring within seconds of the start of the game. The VooDoo kept their momentum going when Rocco completed a two yard pass to WR Josh Bush with roughly 7 minutes left in the first quarter. The Force managed to rake up some points in the first quarter, with a 5 yard touchdown pass from QB RJ Archer to WR CJ Johnson. A 1 yard touchdown run by Rocco pulled the VooDoo up to a 14 point lead at the end of the first quarter.
Archer led the Force down the field for a much needed score to put the force within 7 when he found WR Jake Allen on a 2 yard touchdown pass 21-14. The VooDoo retaliated with a 29 yard touchdown pass from Rocco to Bush. Rocco fired off a 13 yard touchdown pass to OL Brad Paul with 18 seconds left in the first half, bumping them up to a 20 point lead.
The Force gained momentum in the second half, with a one yard touchdown pass from Archer to WR Larry Shipp. New Orleans quickly retaliated with a yet another Rocco to Bush touchdown connection. With a minute left in the third quarter, Rocco completed a 13 yard touchdown pass to WR LJ Castile, pulling the New Orleans lead up to 47-21. Shortly after, Rocco once again found Castile for a 10 yard touchdown pass. With 7:26 left in the game, Archer connected with Shipp for a two yard touchdown pass, narrowing the VooDoo lead to 54-28. After an onside kick recover, Archer found Shipp yet again for an impressive 42 yard touchdown pass. Still, the late surge was little too late, and the VooDoo emerged victorious with a final game score of 57-35.
