Free Silver Knights Scrimmage for Fans - Star Wars Promotion

SYRACUSE, New York - The Syracuse Silver Knights welcome local soccer fans to watch the Knights in action as the team prepares for the 2016-17 season at an intersquad scrimmage on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 3:30 p.m. The scrimmage will take place at the team's practice facility in the Central New York Family Sports Centre, 7201 Jones Road, Syracuse.

"The fans will get to see an open, free-flowing game with lots of goals scored," Silver Knights General Manager Tommy Tanner predicted. "It's a chance to get the guys in a competitive environment and to play with each other again before the home opener."

Rookie Silver Knights forward Ben Ramin said the scrimmage will allow for players to gel and develop chemistry with each other and the fan base. "It's an opportunity for us to meet the fans and get both sides, fans and players, charged-up for the upcoming season."

The team will take the field at 3:15 p.m. to warm up, with the scrimmage starting at 3:30 p.m. and lasting roughly an hour. The event is free and open to the public, and players will be available for pictures and autographs. Individual game and season ticket packages will be available at the Silver Knights ticket office before and after the match.

The Silver Knights open their season on November 18^th against the Harrisburg Heat at the War Memorial Arena at Oncenter at 7:30 p.m. The Silver Knights will compete in the Eastern Division against the Harrisburg Heat, the defending MASL Champions Baltimore Blast, and MASL's new expansion team the Florida Tropics.
