Fourth Quarter Push Powers Skyforce Past Legends

SIOUX FALLS, SD- After 18 lead changes and 13 ties, the Texas Legends (10-9) dropped their second straight game to the Sioux Falls Skyforce (16-5) 118-130 Saturday night in South Dakota.

The two teams kept it close in the first half, swapping leads 14 times and staying within 7 points of each other. Sioux Falls carried a six-point advantage into the locker room, but the Legends tied it up midway through the third. Texas had a two-point lead with 1:39 to play before Sioux Falls struck with eight unanswered points to lead into the final quarter.

The Skyforce finished strong in the fourth, taking their largest lead of the night (+22) with 2:31 to play. The Legends forged a comeback with 10 straight points, including back-to-back threes from CJ Williams, but the gap proved too large to match as the home team swept the weekend series.

Manny Harris led the Legends with 26 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, and 5 steals, while Gary Neal, making his first start, added 24 points, 2 rebounds, and 5 assists. Jameel Warney went 6-of-11 for 17 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and a game-high 4 blocks.

Sioux Falls' Keith Benson led all with 30 points, 11 rebounds and Denver Nuggets' assignee Malik Beasley added 21 points, 5 rebounds.
