Former Eagle Joins Menace
November 6, 2015 - American Indoor Football (AIF)
Steel City Menace News Release
Julien Robinson will join the Menace staff as Defensive Coordinator.
Robinson, 35 years old, was raised in Baltimore MD. He played 17 years of semi pro football and selected 13 times as an all star. Robinson first played indoor football in 2007 for the Lancaster Lighting where he played defensive back and then in 2008-9 with the Chesapeake Tide where he played DB/LB/DE. The fact that he could play multiple positions is what earned him a spot and allowed him to keep it.
"That is the type of player I am looking for on my defense. I became the DC for the Maryland Eagles from 2014-2015 when my defense gave up a average of 24.3 ppg. , 35 sacks and 12 ints. I believe everything starts and ends with the line on both sides of the ball and I fully expect our team to dominate both this upcoming season. I was offered a few other jobs but this one just was the best one for me. I will bring a laid back but serious approach to the team and my work ethic will be reflected in my teams play. 2016 will be a great season ."
