TODAY'S GAME: Rubber match of a five-game series against the Daytona Tortugas (CIN) from Jackie Robinson Ballpark (2-2)...Finale of an eight-game road trip against the Palm Beach Cardinals and Tortugas (5-2)...Florida is coming off a three-game sweep against the Cardinals at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium...Final of five series (18 games) against the Cincinnati Reds' affiliate, with 10 games in Daytona Beach...The Atlanta Braves' affiliate has dropped six of nine on the road against Daytona in 2018...Florida was swept in a three-game series at "The Jack" from April 23-25.

TODAY'S STARTING PITCHER: 22-year-old Tucker Davidson makes his 17th start of the season in the rubber match of the five-game series at Jackie Robinson Ballpark on Thursday night...The Amarillo, Texas native entered the 2018 season as the 13th- (Baseball America) and 23rd- (MLB.com) ranked prospect in the Atlanta Braves organization...The southpaw earned his fifth win of the season in a 2-0 shutout over the Palm Beach Cardinals on July 7...The 6-foot-2 hurler scattered three hits and two walks, while punching out five through seven frames...Thursday will be Davidson's fifth start of the season against the Tortugas, but the lefty is off to an 0-3 start against the Cincinnati Reds' affiliate...The product of Midland College has allowed 12 runs - 11 earned - on 21 hits, 10 walks and 10 strikeouts in 17.1 innings against Daytona...Davidson is 0-1 at Jackie Robinson Ballpark, with eight runs allowed - seven earned - on eight hits, seven free passes, five punchouts and two home runs allowed.

LATE LEAD SLIPS AWAY IN LOSS TO TORTUGAS: The Florida Fire Frogs fell behind early against the Daytona Tortugas on Wednesday night at Jackie Robinson Ballpark, and ultimately fell, 6-2, forcing a rubber match heading into Thursday's series and season finale against the Cincinnati Reds' affiliate.

Cristian Pache homered for the second consecutive night, giving the 19-year-old eight long balls on the season and in his young career.

PACHE POWER!: Cristian Pache once again plated the first run of the night with a solo home run in the to pof the third inning against Scott Moss...The Atlanta Braves' eighth-ranked prospect is hitting .367 through nine games in July, with three homers, five RBIthree doubles and a triple...The 19-year-old has moved into a tie for third place in the Florida State League with 88 hits after collecting four hits over the last two nights.

BEWARE THE HOEK: Kurt Hoekstra picked up two more hits on Wednesday night to bring his average up by seven points from .265 to .272...The corner infielder is off to a .378 start across 11 games to start the fourth month of the season, and has an OBP of .425 due to drawing three free passes.

BULLPEN BOUNCES BACK: A night after allowing six runs in the eighth inning, the Fire Frogs' bullpen blanked the Tortugas over the final three frames on Tuesday night on three hits and three strikeouts...Florida's relievers have combined to allow nine runs - seven earned - across 17.1 innings during the first seven games of the eight-game road trip (3.68 era)...If Tuesday's eighth inning is taken out of the equation, the numbers decrease to three runs - two earned - in 16.1 innings for an ERA of just 1.12.

ANDERSON NAMED PITCHER OF THE WEEK: 20-year-old Ian Anderson was named the Florida State League Pitcher of the Week for the week of July 2-8...Atlanta's fourth-ranked propect went 2-0 in his two starts, and did not yield a run to the Jupiter Hammerheads or Palm Beach Cardinals at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium...Rexford, N.Y. native struck out 18 batters across 11 innings of work, while limiting the opposition to five hits, and issued just one free pass...The right-hander has not allowed a run since the sixth inning of a June 26 contest against the Dunedin Blue Jays at Osceola County Stadium, spanning 13 frames...Over three starts since the second half, Anderson has allowed two runs on 11 hits, four walks and 24 strikeouts across 17 innings, posting an ERA of 2.12 in the process.
