Commonly Asked
Questions
Are there any height & weight requirements?
We have no set limits,
but you should look well proportioned and be physically fit.
What if I have
a tattoo?
If it is visible in the uniform or practice attire, you must have it
covered with make up. Tattoos should also be covered for auditions.
Is
there an age limit?
You must be at least 18 but there is no maximum age limited.
Ages of cheerleaders have ranged from 18-35.
How should I wear my hair &
make-up?
Your hairstyle & make-up should compliment your features. Use make-up
colors that compliment your skin tone. Think glamorous! You may want to ask for
advice from a make-up artist on application techniques for performance
looks.
Can my family watch the auditions?
Auditions are closed to the
public.
What should I expect at tryouts?
Applicants will need to arrive
promptly at 11AM to register. A dance will be taught that must be performed in
addition to kicks and a single or double turn. Applicants must introduce themselves
and be prepared for a freestyle dance round. A short 20 sec clip of random music
will be played and you will need to freestyle to the song. We are looking to see
that you can dance on beat with any type of music played similar to game
days.
What will the judges focus on?
Showmanship, Personal Appearance,
Communication Skills, Energy, & Dance.
What should I wear to
auditions?
A crop top/sports bra (stomach must show) and dance briefs or lycra
shorts. Flesh colored pantyhose or dance tights with dance or tennis shoes.
What do I need to bring to auditions?
Bring your audition application
(unless you emailed it) with a non returnable photo and your $25.00 registration
fee. It's highly recommended to bring a lunch or snack and a water bottle.
