The Dallas Desperados placed DB Pete Hunter (6-2, 212, Virginia Union) on Left Squad today.
Hunter was signed by the Desperados as an AFL rookie on March 20 and played in six games with five starts (inactive in five games), posting 23.5 tackles - fifth-most on the team - one interception and three pass breakups.
Hunter, originally a fifth round draft pick (168th overall) by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2002 NFL Draft, saw time in the NFL with the Cowboys (2002-04), Cleveland Browns (2005) and Seattle Seahawks (2006) and totaled 55 tackles, one sack, three interceptions and eight pass breakups in 34 games played with five starts in his career.
