The Mile High Menace have signed former Denver prep star DaVaughn Thornton. Thornton, a 6' 4" 240 wide receiver/ tight end began his college football career with the University of Colorado and finished at perennially powerful, national champions, CSU-Pueblo. Along the way, he amassed impressive stats:
University of Colorado (2009-2013)
Experience in 32 Division 1 games. 4 starts. 22 PAC-12 games. PAC-12 games.
32 catches 154 yards 1 TD- Career totals
CSU-Pueblo (2013-14)
19 receptions 215 yards 4 TD. RMAC Champions
Thornton is considered by many to be an example of the new hybrid tight end. He possesses a combination of strength and finesse and could prove to be a difficult match up for smaller defenders.
He showed well at the 2014 NFL Draft Combine and many experts came away impressed and felt that he was one of the top athletes at his position even though he went undrafted.
Thornton comes from an impressive family of high level football and basketball athletes and he has Menace staff and its football community buzzing today.
